Macquarie Fields is home to a relatively new skatepark (constructed in 2011 by the awesome Convic) and first thing you notice is just how amazingly slick the surface is, so fast and smooth that just cruising around it is a delight! It’s all pretty small in size (mostly around 3-4ft) so its good for skaters of all sizes, but its blazingly fast and super fun.
Being this awesome does mean that it is regularly packed (especially on the weekends). Tonnes of BMX’rs and younger scooter dudes fill the place – but so do a lot of skaters and it’s large enough that you can always find somewhere to have a decent jam. However you may not be able to do the end-to-end runs that make this skatepark so much fun.
